Where to start.. Location is great! Less than 5 minutes away is the metro line which is easy to navigate and get to pretty much everywhere in Amsterdam/region Over the road is a mcdonalds for a late night snack Rooms are amazing! Rainfall walk in shower mood lighting and the beds are so comfy! You literally sink into it! There are wireless Bluetooth speakers to play music whilst getting ready which adds to the room as they're soundproof! Even a facade to block out sunlight if you like to sleep in Came here for my anniversary with my partner and we had an amazing time and the staff are all lovely too and very helpful Will deffo be visiting more ruby hotels throughout Europe

Fantastic!! This has to be 1 of our top 2 favorite European hotels!! I cannot recommend this hotel enough...it is situated in a stunning part of the city, 6 metro stops from Centraal Station. The area is clean, modern and eco friendly. From the minute you arrive at the hotel you are greeted by friendly staff but encouraged to self check in - efficiency is everything. The rooms are the perfect mix of modern, minimal and clean along with quirky and unique. There is an ipad in the room to control lighting, blinds and to access al information on the hotel down to breakfast ties and menus. The bar area is lovely and we were give 2 free drinks vouchers upon arrival. Myself and my son stayed here for his 16th birthday and the hotel made what was a fantastic experience even better. We will be returning.

We both had a lovely stay at the Ruby Emma. The locations although away from the city, was easy. Simply catch the train from just over the road from the hotel to the Central Station, right in the heart of the Dam. We usually stay elsewhere, but decided to mix it up a little. Yes we could come back, but we would also go to our ‘usual’ hotel too. Beds were very comfy. Hotel staff sent extra pillows to our room, as requested. We decided to stay green, so was give a free drink at the bar. We made used of the dual ended bath each evening, just a way of relaxing the feet after a day of walking around this beautiful city.

Great hotel but lift disclaimer

Myself and my partner went to this hotel for a short break over the Easter weekend. The hotel is within great location to the metro to get to anywhere in Amsterdam, breakfast and bar is lovely, room is very modern, clean and full of tech with the Apple iPad and air con. I couldn't say anything negative overall with a four star review, however a huge disclaimer for anyone who doesn't like lifts. This building is high rise, therefore they don't have access to stairs for people that are not a fan of getting on a lift. They have stairs that are only available in an emergency. I asked the staff about the use of the stairs as I don't mind ascending them for 8 floors, if it means I don't have to use the lift, but they said I'd be stuck on them unless someone opened the door from the inside, which isn't practical as we could have been standing on them for how long? I understand lifts are to accommodate the majority of people particularly with luggage and are a nessasasity, however the reality is that some people just won't use them due to being claustrophobic, but will go up flights of stairs. My own presumption is that they would be available as I have never been in any height of a hotel, without automatic stairs access that went up through the floors of the building. I had no other choice but to use the lift, so no matter how nice this hotel was, that's a deal breaker to me staying here again.
